Third Party Fees
Funeral costs are usually made up of two parts: the Funeral Director’s fees and Third-party costs.
The Funeral Director’s fees cover the services we provide directly. This includes bringing your loved one into our care, looking after them, making all the arrangements, providing the coffin and hearse, handling the necessary paperwork, and guiding you through every step of the funeral. These are the professional services and facilities required to organise and carry out the funeral with care and dignity.
Third-party costs, sometimes called disbursements, are charges paid to other organisations on your behalf. These can include crematorium or cemetery fees, minister or celebrant fees, church charges, doctors’ fees (where required), flowers, newspaper notices and printed orders of service. These costs are set by the individual providers and can vary depending on location and the choices you make.
Separating these two parts helps you clearly see what our services include and what payments are made to external organisations, giving you full transparency when planning the funeral. Please see a list of Third-party costs below.
