W. Lauderdale & Son Funeral Services is a third-generation, family-run business that has supported the Gateshead community with care, compassion and respect for nearly 80 years.

Founded in 1946 by Billy Lauderdale, we’ve built a legacy rooted in trust, dignity and personal service. Today, we remain proudly fully independent and the business is owned by Mrs Doris Lauderdale and her son, William Lauderdale.

William and his wife Shauna look after the day-to-day running of the Funeral Home. They are supported by Alex, whose 10+ years of experience perfectly rounds out our team of funeral directors in Gateshead.
